Membership
The Windward O'ahu branch of AAUW is one of eight branches in the state of Hawaii. We are the largest branch in the state with 100 members. We recently celebrated our 50th anniversary honoring charter members and those who had been members of the branch for 50 years. It was quite a celebration!
As an AAUW member, you'll be proud to belong to a nationwide group of women who value education and equal rights for women. As a Windward O'ahu branch member, you will make new friends and meet professional colleagues as you participate in meetings and activities. Some of the activities will include monthly meetings anchored by exciting speakers, two annual luncheons celebrating the holiday season and local scholarship winners, participation in Interest Groups which include book discussion groups, a Great Decisions study group, art tours and informal lunches and other branch activities and programs.
AAUW members are college graduates who hold an associate degree or higher degree from an accreditied college or university. Undergraduates currently attending a college or university may be Student Affiliates. Membership categories include regular Branch members, Life members and Dual members. Windward women who do not hold a degree are welcome to join the branch as Interest members. The membership year begins July 1 and ends June 30 of the following year. Dues cover membership in AAUW (National), Division (State) and Windward O'ahu (Branch).
